Getting the Wheeling Fever
I was wondering if anyone made kit that you can cut the frame off at a section frame and came off with tube?
My frame is gone from the first rear spring bracket all the way up to top off the rear axle hump.

BudBuilt has talked about making replacement frames and frame sections for several years, but it looks like it's still on the drawing board.

In the mean time, you can check wrecking yards across the nation here www.car-part.com. There always seem to be around a dozen frames offered there at any time. The thing to look out for is that some yards are selling frames that are half way rusted already. I'd only buy one from Texas, Arizona, California, ect. If you are like me, living far from those places, transportation of the part becomes a problem. Frames are expensive to ship by truck freight and the price of gas makes it ever and ever harder to consider driving to these places to pick one up. And since our government is trying to start another war in the middle east (with Iran) I'd expect gas to go to $6 - $8/gal by fall, and unemployment to rise dramatically. -- Matt

What state are you in? I went to a wrecking yard here in Ft. Worth, Texas today, and the guy had 6-7 4runners and I think 4-5 trucks in various stages of teardown. He's not too bad on prices compared to what I have seen. It's very hard to find even a 2wd truck around here in a wrecking yard, but this guy just bought like 3 trucks and a 4runner somewhere. If interested, the place is called Honda-Toyota Heaven and the number is 817-563-1744.

Roll Me Over
A company in Canada makes back halfs, but I don't remember who they are.

I have an 85 frame sitting at my Mom's house... Pretty clean. Would sell cheap. Located in MN.

we have been talking .. and testing for years ..
http://toyotafiberglass.com

biggest problem is size and weight .. shipping is becoming "un-reasonable" due to fuel costs ..
