No more room in the driveway - so it's time to sell my beloved '90 Trooper V6. I've owned it for about 5 years - the previous owner had the engine rebuilt (there's a plate from the builder on the block - but he couldn't give me any paperwork showing when it was done). My guess is that it's been about 20k mi since the rebuild.
I bought this rig because I live on a very steep hill and it snows here (central Arkansas). With these new tires, the Trooper is amazing in the snow (the old BFG M/T's were terrible on icy roads).
Has 5 spd manual, I replaced the clutch (using tips from this site, thank you very much) about 4000 miles ago.
I used this as a daily driver for a couple of years but for the last 2 years it's been sitting in my driveway, only driven a couple of times a month. I was away in CA, and my wife would use it if it was snowy.
Has a brand new windshield, I also replaced the battery, starter, and radiator. Has five 31 x 10.5 Bridgestone Dueler A/T's with less than 3000 miles on 'em. Has brand new driver door hinges (no more of the classic Trooper "pop"). I put in a nice Sony CD/MP3 deck & it has Sony speakers too.
What's great about it: Has 3 inch body lift, winch (with custom brush bar), 4 aux lights (2 more added since photo), 5 new tires and is a reliable daily driver.
What's not so great - the air pump (for cat converter) is bypassed via a shortened belt.
Power window motor for the rear seat behind the driver is dead (I verified the switches & wiring are all OK). A/C blows warm - I'm guessing it just needs a recharge - it cools a tiny bit but not much.
Interior is very good - seats are in good shape - it's not 100% (a couple of minor blemishes or stains here and there) but it looks nice.
$3000 firm - between the lift, winch, new tires etc. I think it's well worth it.
