Where to look for why condensate is not dripping out of the drain tube under the hood? Got cold air but not real cold. all the other stuff checks out. Got something plugged up? 93 T 3.0 auto 4x4

There should be a drain tube on the right side near the brake line coil. You can run a coffee maker snake through there (gently) and see if any debris comes out.

What ever you do...don't run a clothes hanger through there. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

i think of the evaporator drain tube was plugged that eventually it would start leaking water onto the floorboard as the plastic container containing the evaporator is not water tight. what do you mean everything else checks out? did you hook up a/c manifold guages? what are the high and low pressure side readings and what was the ambient air temperature? is the radiator fan turning at the normal RPMs and blowing a lot of air through the condensor?

Just checked the pressure and I am at the lower end - about 20 pounds. Gonna get a can and pop a little in. Probably will do it. No water inside the cab, so I am guessing all I need is a little juice.

yeah 20 PSI is definitely low. probably not enough enough pressure to cause the a/c compressor clutch to cycle. you have a leak somewhere in the system, probably an o-ring or the low or high pressure inlet valves.

Clutch was engaging. Works really well, just not cold enough. Picking up a refill can tomorrow as it is supposed to get back into the 90's in a couple of days. Put in leak detector, nothing shows...

Put in about a third of a can, got to 30-32 psi. Cold rules! Just needed a booster. Thanks
