OTEP Offline OP
Body Damage is Cool
We record patients using an endoscope in the hospital I work in. It's just like a fancy camcorder that can see inside your nose and throat.

Originally, it records images onto VHS tapes which I had to record onto DVD which I had to convert to MPEG to store in our computer for use during conferences and such things (remember, I'm in a training hospital).

I tried to streamline things a bit by recording directly from the endoscope (it uses run of the mill RCA jacks) into the DVD recorder. Now I just have to convert the DVDs into MPEGs to store in our computer.

Now I'm just wondering if there is any practical way to record from the endoscope directly into the computer hard drive (in MPEG or Movie-maker editable format).

What stuff do I need to get? Step by step help would be greatly appreciated as I know more about 4x4s than this doctor thingamajiggy.

Thanks!

This will solve your problem. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" /> Or any video card that support TV IN. I like this black box because you don't have to be tethered to the PC. It's direct to MPEG4 encoder

if you need one with a screen, i had this weird camcorder/camera combo that can record on an SD card, via a set of inputs:
