buddy of mine has a 94 4runner just like mine v6 sr5 4x4 when he puts it in 4 wheel drive and starts to roll the truck will stop and sometimes stall like something is binding up, i dont think its the front end cause in 2 wheel with the hubs locked nothing happens any ideas?

I bet the front and rear differential ratio's do not match. I'd put my last dollar on it.

They would have to be WAY off to not drive at all. Usually it will "buck" and squeel the front or rear end.

I'm not really sure what it is. My advice would be to put it up on jackstands at all 4 corners, and run it through the gears in 4wd hi, low, and 2wd, and see what works and doesnt work.

well he hasnt really forced it yet on pavement just put it in and tried to roll slowly and it did it, i told him to drive it into the grass or dirt and throw it in 4wheel see what happens, cause i know the truck does have a different front end in it

No, as long as the front and rear wheels can slip, it wont hurt.
