Hey everyone, without a service manual i dont know the names, but there is a nut that u tighten after u remove the lock outs that tighen the assembly, it was a lock washer with it also, do u need a special tool to tighter this?

i call it the front wheel/hub nut... and no, you don't need a special tool, you should be able to spin it using a screwdriver. how tight you make it determines wheel preload. if you want to be exact, you'll need a spring scale, attach to one of the wheel lugs, and measure how much force it takes to turn the wheel. IIRC, it should be something like 7 ft-lbs, but I mostly do this by feel now adays.

i need the locking washer that goes with it, u know of a place to get one? its about the size of a can of chew and maybe 3mm thick

well untill i get my service manual i dont have a part number i even what the thing is called, i was told its a 4 dollar part

you don't need a part number, just a call and a good description (lock washer in front of hub nut) should be enough. or better yet, stop by your local dealership's parts department and you can look over the guys shoulder at their book and identify it on the exploded parts diagram.

no, an isuzu dealership, they still exist. or you could call St. Charles Isuzu if you'd rather, they've always been helpful to people on this board
