Then just multiply by 12 (or better yet by youe actual running voltage & get a resistor that can handle that many watts. Dave Re: Fan speed resistor [Re: Davepet] #899065 08/09/08 10:19 AM Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 75 Calgary, Alberta cam01 Getting the Wheeling Fever I soldered a pair of the ceramic resistors from a 1/10th scale R/C car in parallel across the low speed terminals on my 1st gen. years ago when I was young and broke. I drove it another 18 months or so and never had a problem with it.
