Getting the Wheeling Fever
One of the coolant lines that feeds my rear heater burst. Northern road salt has finally did it in (the hole is located where the line passes under the floorboard). I don't care much about the rear heater, so i'm wondering if i can just take that section out of the coolant system loop by bypassing the line where the rear heater lines start by the firewall mount (pic link attached). This seems like a easy thing to do, but i'm wondering if i'm missing something important by doing so. need to get the runner back on the road asap, so input is GREATLY appreciated.

Yes, just find a male to male barb fitting for those hoses, connect them together, and that will bypass your heater core.

Not sure on the line size. Cut a piece off and head to any hardware store, or home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowes. Its in the plumbing section.

Body Damage is Cool
I dealt with this almost two years ago on a friend's 4Runner. Here's my write-up on YotaTech: Heater line failure

Need a Spot
I tore the whole thing out of my 93 Runner a long time ago and found the hole it left a perfect place for fitting my fire extinguisher in. It fits snuggly enough not to slide out or rattle on the trail, but pulls out easily in case of emergency.

DON'T MOVE!!!...Lemme get the camera!
