Need a Spot
I don't have the $900+ for the calmini 3" lift kit... nor do i have the $350+ for the upper control arms. In short, i want to torque up the front end so that i am still 1/4 - 1/2 inch away from the lower bump stops on the front end. But then my camber will be off. Couldn't i cut my upper control arms to the proper length and weld them back together a little shorter (with reinforcements of coarse) and i will lengthen the shackles in the back to match the lift in the front?!?
also, with the said combination, will 33x12.50 then fit? p.s. how do you insert a photo?

Just do a ball joint flip and possibly spacer (if needed) after cranking the t-bars. That should allow you to get the alignment within specs. Lots-o-info around here on the process. As for the photo, check the FAQ:

As to whether the tires will fit...which vehicle are we talking about? Those will definitely fit a Trooper...but other models have less clearance.

Photos have to be hosted on another website such as Photobucket, and linked here.

Need to know year and model to give the right advice.

Cant do ball joint flip on 2nd gen rodeo for example, but then it isnt needed either.

The independent4x lift has everything needed for alot less then the calmini kit.

Yes, just the upper. If you use a spacer it would go between the a-arm and the ball joint with the ball joint is under the a-arm.

if you don't mind running 9.5 or 10.5 tires instead of 12.5 you don't need a lift on 87-91 Troopers for 33" tires.
