I noticed there haven't been very many postings over here anymore. I posted this over on the Planet, I tought I'd post it here as well. I bought this 93 trooper about a year and a half ago, It had been in an accedent before I bought it. I didn't care too much for the early second gen trooper front ends so I started to gather parts to swap to a 98-up front end. This is how I bought the trooper.. ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/826398_67_full.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/Picture012.jpg) The first thing I did was buy a 2002 trooper front bumper, "Bucket" had left over from his trooper after buying his ARB. At the same time I bought a used set of fender flares. ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/Picture022.jpg) Next I got rid of those stupid "moon pie" rims and painted the flares. ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/015.jpg) Next I painted the door frames, just to make it look alittle more modern. ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/DSC06038.jpg) A few weeks ago I finally got all of the parts needed to do the swap.

When the trooper was in the accident the previous owner hit a lifted truck with a big hitch sticking out of his reciever, It messed up the radiator support beyoned repair. I hit the junk yards and picked up the parts needed for the repair. 98-up trooper hood and wiper cowl. 98-up trooper headlights 98-up trooper grille 98-up fenders and turn signals. and a replacement radiator support for my bent up one, I got it from a 99. ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/DSC06228.jpg) First I had to drill all of the spot welds on the radiator support in order to remove it. ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/DSC06252.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/DSC06280.jpg) It came off pretty good. There are a lot of spot welds though ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/DSC06293.jpg)

I got the repair/upgrade finished. I paid $1,000 for the trooper. I then sold a sub and amp that came with it for $250 so I was $750 into the trooper before the repair/upgrade. Trooper: $750. hood/cowl $110. fenders, headlights, grille, turn signals, radiator support, and a/c condenser- -all for $180 front bumper $100. fender flares $100. Total: $1,240. The trooper only has 70,000 origanal miles. ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/DSC06339.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/onebadtrooper/93%20trooper/DSC06354.jpg) here is a pre wreck pic..

Yeah you posted that right as I was posting mine it looks like. Might want to resize a couple of those pics though
I've been throwing around the idea of wholesaling for a while now. I seem to buy and sell quite a bit already and usually make a few dollars on them. Got a '87 K5 Blazer i'm working on now.

Yeah thats what I thought, I always end up posting at the same times as other people I resized the big pic. Its hard to tell how big the pics are going to be now, I just got a 22" moniter so its hard to judge.
I've been wanting to try wholesale for a while too. I think Fred still does it. He told me before that you can make a lot of money doing it. If you make a grand on each car and sell like 15 a year thats a pretty good deal. There seems to be a lot of good deals down here in the DFW area on craigslist.
