Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hi all, does anyone know of a source of OEM type electrical connectors. I need this connector:

http://plammer.com/plammer/isuzu/DSCN0429.JPG

It's the one of the connectors that mates to the Aisin transmission. I understand the '90 and '91 Troopers in the US had Aisins, so I'm watching for one of those to be parted out. If I could find a company that sells these, that would be ideal as well.

Thanks!
Paul

The easiest thing to do is to go to a junkyard if you've got one close by..... or auto parts store.

Go here to find the part #.... http://www.myisuzuparts.com/

Other sources for the part are.....

Jerry... PM JLEMOND on this forum.

Thanks for the info. Unfortuately, it appears they don't sell the connector or harness itself, lots of other bits though.

I think my best bet is going to be to find a '89-91 with an AT that is being parted out. I can cut mine, but I'm holding off with thoughts of eventually using my computer for my transmission (I could cut the wires I have and splice them back if I do use the computer, just making an atempt to not cut the wires)

What I'm doing is side stepping my computer for my transmission for now and making it a push button shifted setup for now. If I can get that connector, I can do it without cutting any of the wiring that came with my setup. I'm making the process a little more difficult than it needs to be, but it'll give me more piece of mind. So possibly worth it smile

You might try this company also.....
http://www.mouser.com/search/Refine.aspx?Ne=2355233&N=1323038+2355233&Ns=P_SField

Do a search on Google for "12 pin male automotive connector".... (that's what it looks like at least).

You can also PM this guy over on the Planet.... he normally makes junk yard runs (tell him I sent ya)..... http://forum.planetisuzoo.com/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=3259
