Today I picked up a 72 FJ40 and I am ready to start wrenching but have a few questions first. The yota was an aircraft tug for many years requiring large amounts of weight on the front and rear so the leafs are shot. I am thinking of running a 4in lift but I would like to put the axles under the leafs for better clearance. It looks like I might have to lengthen the driveshafts a little and of course through on new spring perchs. I would like to have disk brakes in the front, so I was wondering if one of my spare pickup axles would work or a converson kit? If anyone can share there experences it would be greatly appreciated
