Re: 87 4runner replacing idler arm bushings [Re: hazman] #903164 09/02/08 02:37 AM Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 480 Lower Hudson Valley, New York MAC Mudrunner you do not have to pull the joint (idler arm stud to steering link) apart. you can take the body off the shaft. leave the shaft attached to the steering link... less work and potentially ruining the rubber.
