Hi out there Iam in the process of looking for 2.8 Pajero , I think I've found one.Can any one help with DRL issues with regards to whether one should use a module or use the lower portion of the turn signal lens bulbs? I've been told they are for a higher intentsity flashing mode.I believe you disconect that feature and find a ignition key point, does this sound right?

DRL is as easy as running a 12V switched line to the headlight relay under the hood. I have a thread about it buried here somewhere.

Are DRL's mandatory in Canada or is it the other way around? I thought all Pajero's came with it.

Depends, DRLs in Canada came into effect in 1989 for passenger cars, but a few lears later for trucks.
The funny thing is that the inspection we have to do for the imported vehicles states that all must be retrofitted with DRLs. After passing the inspection, they are not required equipment to be on the roads.
Great system we have.

from what I know...any vehicle in canada from from 1990 and newer must have DRL's. my pajero passed an OOP without changing headlights, adding DRL's or anything. but that was 2 years ago, shops are alot more strict now.
it isn't too hard to wire in daytime running lights, if you don't permanently want them, wire them in a way that you can easily disable it.
