Getting the Wheeling Fever

I'm getting ready to drop the transmission pan on my 95 4Runner (SR5 4x4 V6 Automatic) because of a seal leak but I had a question about the pan(s). I noticed to the rear of the main large pan there's a smaller pan. I don't believe this to be part of the transfer case but I wanted to make sure before I removed it.
