How well are the 2.5's warming up in the winter? My 5.9 dodge never warms up in the winter unless you put a good load on it. One of the fun things about the domestic diesels. Just wondering as it really anoys me about my truck and would if the 2.5 was the same.

Thanks in advance

All diesels run cool at idle and heat up under load.

That said, with a block heater she starts great and comes up to temp faster than my Honda Civic once I'm driving.

Mine warms up in about 2-5 min depending on temp outside. I know what you mean with the domestics thou. When I drive my dads Dodge it never wars up and you freeze half the time in the winter.

Mine's the same - as soon as I start moving, it starts warming up. Eric, I don't even get to Hwy567 on 24th street before I'm up to operating temperature... you should sell the Dodge, and get something smaller... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Ya I drive about 1000 - 2000m from frozen to toasty with just a pan heater in the -30 celcius weather.

500m and the heater starts blowing warm in -15?C not having the privelegde of a water cooled turbo. Letting it run for 5 mins before you take off is also good, even though the needle doesn't lift during idle it's got some heat going and heats up quickly after taking off.
