Getting the Wheeling Fever
Okay so im looking at getting a bull bar or a safri bar but of course there isnt a soul out there that makes them for a t100. Are these parts interchangable for the earliest tundra's and t100's? ive never had a chance to measue the frame rails on a tundra and comapre it to mine.

Body Damage is Cool
They're not interchangeable. People do make that stuff. They're just spendy one-off custom jobs.

You could try Anthony Padgett. He was advertising rears on TTORA and said he'd consider a front also.

Seems to me he is or was a member here, too.

If you can do a little trimming and grinding, apparently the ARB bumper for the 100 series Land Cruiser will fit a T100. I also know of a guy who used the same ARB bumper on an '02 Chevy Tahoe (!) -

I traded a few emails with the guy who owns this white T100. He did a lot of cutting and trimming and made this ARB bumper for an 80 series Landcruiser work -

A cruel irony is that the only fab shop still making a front replacement bumper for the T100 (Kennesaw Mountain Accessories) has the worst online reputation for customer service of any shop out there.

My Kenneshaw front bumper is arriving this week. No problems so far. Will do updates as it is installed.

Just how much trimming and grinding are we talking about? 1/8"-1/4" of metal on a couple of spots or so? Any welding involved? For me that would not be problem, except finding the time. I might be interested since it does look pretty darned good on the T! Creeper, is that your truck in the pics? If so it looks good with the bumper. I think I remember when we were both looking at a TJM bumper in the for sale section. Neither one of us got it.

I believe we were Bill. I still want one.

Sadly that's not mine in the pics, although my truck is the same color. Gives me a good visual how it would look on mine.

I have no idea how much grinding & trimming we're talking about. I found those online somewhere. CarDomain I think....

The white one was on Craigslist in Denver last Spring. I emailed him about the ARB in the pics and he told me about it. Sounded like several hours of work but only because they were no directions or template to follow.

I still want one also. If I could find out how much work was involved, I just might do it.

I got to work around 6:15 AM this morning. On the way, I saw what looked like someone had hit a deer and dragged it down the road, then the animal spunoff to the left and the fluids were draining out of the vehicle. It was dark and there was oncoming traffic. Couldn't really tell what it was that was hit. Got to work and one of the guys in the office was the lucky one. Hit a black bear around 5:45, a lot of blood in the road, his antifreeze and maybe some oil. Direct hit in the center of his Nissan pick-up and he said there was a brown stain in the drivers seat (doesn't know where that came from?) He is thinking that the insurance company is going to total the truck and he just did a bunch of work to the front end, new radiator, tires, wheels etc. After hitting the bear, he had a hard time trying to steer and keep it in the road until he could pull off of the road to a safe spot. Didn't go back to see if the bear was dead or not (probably smart on his part). He said it was mess underneath the truck. I told him to get something that had a good stout bumper on it...one that would take a deer head-on a 70 MPH!

I like my truck, but I wished there were more accesories available for the T.
