pretty kewl but i think it needs to auto track with the front wheels now that would be sweet. i have a spot/flood thats remote on top of my motorhome. just take the turnbable from that light and hook it to a larger plate on pivots and bingo.

Nice but way to $$$

Let me explain my poor mans setup that really works offroad.

Find a set of Hella 500's on sale for $60 buy two sets. You need two sets because you need two wiring sets. Remove the standard 55W and replace with 100 watt Halogens <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mrt.gif" alt="" /> From the wiring set use one relay per light and double up the final run to the light. You now have serious 200 watts of light for $120. You can angle them out slightly by turning them by hand

Now rip out those old round OEM yellow headlights and replace with Sylvania SilverStars part number H6024ST.

Oh and find a Starion or Conquest alternator from a junk yard.

Just imagine how beneficial that would be to search and rescue teams.

On another note, it looks to be super easy to build. A couple of linear actuators and dpdt switches would take care of the electromechanical. Making lights and bar pivot wouldn't be to complicated. Light left and right movements could be accomplished with a setup similiar to windshield wiper linkage/pivots. Up and down is a simple hinge.

Just another idea for my rig after "Street Raider" is finished.
