Your 89 parts rig doesn't have the three-point belts? Mine came from an SWB, not sure what year- maybe it was a 90. I thought 89 started with them though.

89 swb Raider doesn't have three pointers in the rear. Where can I find a set? I will trade a spring front seat bracket. Also have some nice dark blue cloth seats, just smell like cigarettes a little. Also have the tilt ball/ oil pressure/amp guage

My '89 has 'em. Maybe a 3.0 thing...

That said, I may have found an alternative at the yard today. I'll try to check them tonight and see if they work.

Hmm, don't know, maybe 3.0 related. Or maybe a mid-year change?

Well, no luck. The belt that I hoped would work has the wrong mount. It would have to be welded.

That said, I will happily trade gila's seat for a set of shoulder belts... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I believe I had heard in the past that it was a mid-year change.

Apols for butting in - I have a MK1 and changed the lapbelts in the middle row (5 door) for three pointers from here:

http://wescoperformance.stores.yahoo.net/index.html

If you have a threaded hole in the B post already it's very easy to fit them.

I had the hole but no thread behind it so used non-retractable belts. This involved cutting a hole in the B post to slide a threaded retainer inside and riveting the retainer so the thread matches up with the hole in the post. All istructions on the wesco site. I could have got retractable belts but didn't want to cut up the inner trim panels to fit the retractor part behind them.

They also do ones for the occasional seats I believe (I left mine as lap belts) which I think will also fit the back of a SWB.

I found the beige a close match to the beige in my car and the belts to be cheaper than what was being asked for ones from breakers. Pic below.
