I noticed yesterday that my injector was leaking, so I pulled the intake off and replaced o-ring on the injector in question. That night while driving home from a friends house I smelled something burning. It seems the manifold had become cherry hot. Luckily I made it home to my shop with no problem. The truck is running fine and has plenty of power. Please help?

Check your timing

Check that your cat converter or muffler is not plugged

You can hook a vacuum gauge to the intake If you do a search for vacuum gauge guides it will tell you what a restricted exhaust does to a vacuum gauge.

Here's one

another vote for the cat converter. check and see if there is a good flow of exhaust at the tail pipe. if you have to take it some place to get it changed, you could cut/drill holes in the pipe just before the cat. it will be loud but it will get you there with out over heating that manifold.

clean it only if you plan on working on it!
