i have a mighty max truck with the 4d55 in it. my turbo has broken and a rebuild is way too expensive($1100-$1500)at this point in time. i have access to a 2 wheel drive truck with a gas motor and was wondering if the gas motor would bolt up to my diesel transmission. if this would work i would be interested in selling the 4d55. it runs but the intermediate shaft in the turbo broke. i called around for prices to fix it and found a reasonable price so i sent the turbo out to be repaired and the price went up drastically after the shop received my turbo. i had the injector pump rebuilt about 5000 miles ago so i would not have problems with the new ulsd fuel. i love the truck but a new turbo is out of the question for now.

Try and find a used one. They are out there. Or get an aftermarket one. The engine is worth the $ spent on the turbo.
