And your whole end of the world doomsday plan is nuts I think. Just saying. Time will tell I guess.

First off I did not say anything about the end of the world, or doomsday. Please re-read the title of this thread.

You are correct that time will tell, but as I said before... It can't hurt to prepare.

The last "real" Great Depression started in 1929 and the U.S. did not fully recover until the WWII war machine was in full swing. That's 14+ years.

Better hurry up and start canning.

How do you really prepare for and survive a "financial meltdown / great depression"?

Personally, I'll have a beer. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

my thoughts....

the world will keep going on and on and on..

this is just a hiccup...

now what would really scare me is a crazy epidemic..

you know: something like "Captain Trips" from stephen king's "the Stand". or maybe a T-virus like in "resident evil"

Yeah... thats called OPSEC, and will be under

Security / Personal Protection

Got to break the rules sometimes. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I think means of personal protection are rather limited for single person hold out. Eventually one might be asked to "share".

Good way to put it kind of how I feel.

Hate to agree with you though seeing how most of your posts annoy the <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/oink.gif" alt="" /> out of me. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

There are survivors then there is Wall Street.

Some of us have lived a lifetime of surviving already through hunting, fishing, logging, not getting free money from the government when I make bad business decisions, ETC.

I dont think we have to totally go 'Mormon' for a depression but those of you that have... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I think the great doomsday plan budget would be better spent on a replacement 454 for a chevelle. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
