Will a four wheel drive diff bolt into a 2 wheel drive truck? Both are 1986s.

Assuming they're the same sized gears I would think they should. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I think the 4x4 diff is a 3.909, and the 4x2 is a 3.55ish, so the speedo will be off. Swap in the speedo driven gear from the 4x4 will fix that. One bolt and the cable connect.
