Front Axle Truss #912543 10/24/08 07:55 PM

I made a Front Axle Truss and had some questions about welding it on. Should I remove the axles and drain it before welding the truss on? Or could it just be welded on just taking care to do small welds and letting it cool inbetween? I was thinking the latter since it is subjected to heat during normal operation anyways.

Thanks

Well, since nobody replied here, the answer is to just weld it on without draining or removing anything, doing 1" stitches at various locations until it's all complete. At least that's the answer I got over on Yotatech. Did it on Saturday without any problems, and went wheelin at my clubs annual Goblin run Saturday night. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
