Getting the Wheeling Fever
I have a 1995 T100 4x4 SR5 and lately the brake light will light up on the dash and then go off on its own.. I checked the brake to see if it was not released all the way but it was?? Any idea why the light is coming on and going off on its own? Happens every time I drive.. Thanks!

Top off your brake fluid. Fluid is slightly low since your brake pads are wearing. Light comes on before it gets as low as the "low" mark in the reservoir.

Does it fade on or dimly lit? If so, it could be the sensor on top of the reservoir. I ended up unplugging mine as it drove me crazy. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Problem with that is that someof the functions of the truck are inhibited if the sensor is not "inactive". Can't remember if it was ovedrive or AC but, watch out for that/

Thanks for the help.. I will top off the brake fluid today and let you know.. The light is not dim or fade, it just comes on as if the brake is pulled and goes off as if it was released.. Just got back from Louisville last night and didn't have a chance to check these replies but I will top off the brake fluid this morning and report back, thanks again!
