Need a Spot
I have found auto trans from a 93 Mitsu delica diesel van and thinking about swapping it in into my 87 raider 2.6l gas. It looks like it will bolt up but I have a few questions. Will the torque converter and shift points be ok behind the gas engine? Does this trans need a computer to function properly? Is this trans easily adapted to np 231 or dana 300 transfer case? The reason for this swap is to get lower t case gearing and right side t case output as I am swapping in Toyota solid axles front and rear. Thanks for any information y'all can provide.

Have you been on Outerlimits4x4? there are a few posts about delica transmissions on there recently. As far as i know the transmissions are the same but the ratios are different, And the delica has the factory SYE. Lordtrunks knows a lot more about these things maybe he'll post up.

I have compared the ratios but the diesel should have a bit lower ratio if not the same it won't be highier so i wouldn't worry about. If your swapping in a new transfer case i'd like to buy the delica transfer case if its the none rear slip yoke case.
