I think I have everything worked out except the oilpan clearing the diff and exactly what is needed for the wiring. I pulled the 4.3 myself and it is complete from top to bottom including the wire plug-ins,ac,alt,powersteering and all brackets. I dont have the control box or the wiring from the chevy.

I haven't seen one(in person) in a 3rd gen truck yet, but w/the 1st and 2nd gens I have come across, they have all had a 3" body lift.
Have you done an SAS yet to the truck? I don't think a 4.3 will fit w/IFS.
More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else. '90 X-cab 4.88's 33 BFG AT's, rr ARB, Headers, Ignition upgrade, cold air induction. '91 X-cab 5.29's 315's BFG MT's, rr ARB, custom bumper and flatbed

You should be able to find what you need on there, If you get stumped on something feel free to ask, you might get flamed but if you add pics of your progress they will usually be happy to help

Jay's page is excellent. The Advanced Adapters guide is worthless and not worth the money - it's just magazine reprints.
I put a 4.3 in my last 86 xcab, backed by a 150 and duals. '88 TBI, rebuilt, AA bellhousing, Downey flywheel, centerforce clutch. Custom motormounts (though i've hard that NWOR mounts work well, especially when flipped upside down), same tubular headers that Jay used, AA radiator, Howell harness and 4.3 fuel pump installed in the tank on the toyota mount....
If you currently have a 4-cyl, you'll need a different tranny. If you have a 3.0 (and a 5-speed), then don't waste your time with the 4.3 - go 3.4.
Brian K. Gallus I have nothing important to say.
