I installed a new 34mm DGEC and the darn thing leaked fuel from the accelerator pump diaphragm area. I replaced the diaphragm, and the darn thing still leaked. I sent the unit back to the reseller, and the new one they sent me did the same exact thing.

Anybody else have this issue? Is it a known issue?

Thanks,

Body Damage is Cool
Years ago I had the accelerator pump diaphragm fail on the Weber DGV on my Opel GT while driving from AZ to Minnesota. It wasn't leaking externally, just wouldn't squirt when you accelerated.

Check your fuel pressure from the pump to the carb. The Weber carbs like to run between 2 1/2 to 3 psi. Stock pumps on the 2.6 (your signature doesn't indicate what engine) are rated between 2.8 and 4.2 psi. Too much pressure can cause leaks. See my recent reply to a post (Weber Conversion).

THANKS!

Yes, it was a "too much fuel" issue. I got an adjustble, gauged regulator and dialed it right in.

I totally appreciate your help.
