rear locker questions

Getting the Wheeling Fever

hey i just got a 92 pajero exceed 3L it has the rear locker in it but here is the question when i turn on the key the locker light turns on but i can not get it to light the locker light any other times is there a switch or anything i have a R/D LOCK button but it doesnt turn on the light and i dont hear the rear door lock eather so what do i do hope someone can help thanks

As delivered from the factory you need to have the center diff locked for the rear to be engaged.

You surely can bypass the transfer case switch to get it to operate.

so i put it into lowlock and then hit the R/D lock button once the center diff lock light stays light this is all new to me my last pajeros were gen 1 trucks thanks for the help

HiLoc will do it too, just not 4Hi (AWD).
