I agree on the part of not reporting injuries to the police ACCEPT when it becomes a suspected case of either spousal or child abuse. You just cannot turn your head when an infant/spouse comes into an emergency room with suspect injuries. They need to be protected, and if thats a liberty that Im surrendering then so be it.

EMS folks are encouraged to report injuries that could be associated with suspected abuse also; not just LEO's.

Personally, I hope he gets the maximum amount of jail time. I am sick of these athletes who make tons of money thinking they are better than everyone else, and think they can do whatever they want.
He broke the law by having a loaded, concealed handgun in a public area. Period.

My other problem is with this idea that hospitals should report to the government about people being injured. People's medical records and injuries are not the business of the government and I don't believe hospitals should be required to report anything. If a crime was committed, the police can investigate the crime and as part of that investigation attempt to subpoena the medical information via a judge.

..and how is a hospital suppose to know if a gun shot victim was part of a crime or a self inflicted accident...take the word of the victim...come on...

There's a difference between a person coming into a hospital with a broken arm and a gun shot. It should be the responsiblity and required of the hospital to call the cops.

If you've ever been to NYC in the 70's and 80's and then again today...you'll now those laws work...

I've seen past and present NYC and there is a difference.

And sure you can complain all you want about a few rogue cops and some douchbag NFL player shooting himself.. These examples happen every day/week across the country, not just NYC. Just go to YouTube and you can see 100's of examples of idiots with guns. These idiots are the prime example why so many want gun ownership control in this country.
