just picked up a 1990 3.0auto 4runner (im new to 4runners but not to pickups and tacomas) and the rear window does not go up OR down with the center console switch nor the key switch on the tailgate. I can hear a relay click when i press the down button on either switch and i dont hear anything when i press the up button switch.

I checked the motor. I replaced all 4 relays in the module. and the child safety lock is not on. Any suggestions guys???

Thanks,
Buddy

What? I tried wigglin' the wiper and putting pressure on the tailgate but still did nothing.

Did you fix yours?

When did it break?
My wiper switch was on and i turned it off, then it worked.
there is also a limit switch on the wiper that will stop the window from moving.

Hrm, if you jump in the back and hook up 12v to the motor you can bring it down. if that doesnt work, your motor is screwed... but once you bring it down you can work on it more easily... might want to do that...

so if i unplug the wiper and the tailgate then the window should work if the window wiring is good? If so, can anyone hint me to those plugs? Thanks,

Buddy

Here's another good one to bookmark:

At the very least, you want to make sure you're getting power back there as mentioned. Hopefully it's just wiring.
