I have a strong gasoline smell in the cabin of the vehicle, but only under specific conditions. When its very cold, (under 10deg) outside, and the vehicle is cold, The smell can be very strong. As the vehicle temp increases, and/or the outside temp gets higher, the smell gets far less, or even is gone. I dont notice a drip on the floor of the garage, but the left side(passenger side) of the engine is filthy in comparrison to the other side. Obviously theres a leak of some sort, but I think theres more than just a fuel leak compounding my ability to diagnose. Help!
2001 Sportage

There are rubber hoses on the fuel pressure regulator which develop cracks and leaks over time. It's right on the front of the intake manifold. It's a round unit on the fuel rail. Check the rubber hoses and if in doubt of their condition replace them anyway.

Had the same exact smell, and changed hoses, along with the fuel pump and smell disappeared. Hope this helps

what all do you have to disassemble to get to the hoses?

Are those molded hoses?, or can you just use gas-rated hosing material?
