I have a 93 22RE 4x4 that I put the K&N filter in. I didn't notice too much of a difference in terms of power. It is nice not having to replace the filter though. Are you thinking the entire intake system (K&N Filter charger)?

I had the intake on my 92. You won't see a big difference just using the intake by itself. You would need to have the throttle body and intake bored and opened up, and have a good flowing exhaust system.
93 4runner V6, 4.88's, 31" mt's with more to come. 03 Tundra V8 on 265's
