I guess on this one i was allready fairly sure the problem. Popping on right side, seemed to slip alittle also. Also right side had been sqeeking when locked. So finally had no forward pull, but lots in reverse. Found both e-clips towards outer side of shaft, and of course massive amounts of play in axelshaft. So to get to work tommorrow, belive it or not, I switched the manual hubs from either side, and now I have foward pull, and no reverse. Must be the way the hubs a worn internally. Hope axelshafts not ruined. Didn't know wich post to add this to, just figured, make new one. And to everyone else, if you can, don't be like me and wait till it's allmost to late when you hear noise.

Same issue here, replaced the wheel bearings, not it, checked the slip joint, and finally had to replace the Half shaft. Good Luck. All the guys on here helped me figure it out, even tho it took 2 weeks, but now NO NOISE at all! Good Luck

I just found out that I have to replace both front shafts on my sporty. Turns out that the spline on the shaft had worn down and the new manual Warn hubs didn't like it. As a backyard mechanic, I am not looking forward to this. It took me nearly a year to figure out that this was the problem with my 4wd. The Kia mechanic was stumped as well! I only found the cause when I was confirming that I had stuffed my front diff.
