I dragged home a 94 Rodeo (V6) with a bad auto in it for dirt cheap. My trail rig is a 98 Amigo (V6) with a manual trans.

Can I pull the transmission, including the clutch and flywheel out of the 98 and put it in the 94? My biggest concern is attaching the clutch parts to the 94 engine, will everything mate properly?

The Isuzu V6 engine to trans pattern never changed right?

The second part is I want to put the flex plate from the 94 on the 98 for an auto trans swap, but I won't be using the 4l30E.

Any insight? experience or other knowledge on the subject?

Body Damage is Cool

YES ,TRANS AND FLYWHEEL AND ALL THE OTHER PARTS WILL BOLT RIGHT UP, YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE CRANKSHAFT BUSHING FROM THE 94 AND INSTALL THE PILOT BEARIGN FROM THE 98 OR A NEW ONE, AND YOU WILL NEED THE CLUTCH PEDAL ASSY FROM A 93 -97 RODEO, THE ASSY FROM THE 98 WILL NOT BOLT RIGHT IN BUT IT IS VERY CLOSE , YOU WILL HAVE TO SWAP AROUND THE DRIVE SHAFT FLANGES FROM THE 98 ALLSO JERRY

Thanks Jerry! Thats kind of what I thought I would find, but I wasn't big on the idea I could pull both vehicles all apart and find something changed.

I know I'll have a lot of little things to deal with, but nothing overly difficult it seems.

Thanks again

Are driveshaft lengths an issue?

Yeah...I assume there is a tranny control computer for the auto?

The auto in the rodeo? yes. But not the manual. The auto ging in the Amigo will either not need a computer or will use a standalone depending on which way I go.
