I've got a strange issue with my truck as of late.
Okay, my truck likes to bog down in the lower RPM range, especially when it's time to accelerate from a dead stop. It picks itself up around 3500rpm and then runs pretty well once it hits its stride in the 'meat' of the power band. It also sounds like its gasping for air some times when it's idling at normal operating temperature, which usually results in stalling but easily firing back up and running like a top for a few minutes. What should I be looking at to hopefully rid my machine of these annoyances?
I changed the fuel filter last winter (will do again if necessary). Going to toss some new spark plugs in tomorrow. Checked all the vacuum lines and all are connected w/ no tears. If I've overlooked something, please let me know since all of the ailments in the past have been small, easy to fix things on this machine!
Thanks guys/gals!

Mine does that after heavy, heavy rain storms. It "fixes" itself after about an hour of driving afterwards. But, im not really worried about it cause' the 3.4 is going in soon...

Mine was doing something similar until I found one of the plug wires wasn't properly seated into the distributor cap. It had been like that awhile and corrosion built up inside until it was basically running one cylinder short. Could be a intermittent spark problem.

Well, the beast is running MUCH better now thanks to some new plugs. I took it on a road test and the throttle is much more responsive, especially w/ the 'nitro' button that comes stock w/ all the 3.slows w/ an auto tranny!
Gonna have to toss in a new dist. cap 'n rotor this week as well. The plug wires are still in very good shape, so maybe when the summer hits I'll toss some OEM ones in!
The truck still has a tiny miss, but that may be due to the deterioration of my stock muffler that's about to fall apart! I'll start another thread about that, though!
Thank you for responding to my thread!
