Servicing the transfer case is a simple drain & fill... Just always make sure you can get the fill port off before you drain! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

where can i find the amount of fluid needed and type of fluid n that stuff...is it in the owner's manual.

What advice do you need about this procedure? It's pretty straightforward. Remove the fill plug then drain plug. Replace crush washers if there are any. Replace and torque drain plug. Add oil until it's full. Replace and torque fill plug. It is easiest to use a pump with one hose, not two, like this: http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/shop/LNC-615.html

the transfer case calls for 1.2 quarts....how can i check to make sure the fluid level isnt too low or too high after i re-fill it?

You fill it until it starts draining out the fill plug just like the diffs.

I first decided to change the fluid in the transfer case bc i was starting to hear a noise coming from the transfer case when accelerating. I just changed it today and that def helped, but the noise is still there,jus not as bad. Any suggestions?
