Thanks, Angelo! I don't feel as bad now. Everyone says it's a bad stretch...lots of cracked concrete all over.
and you should see 287 going through White Plains on the way to the TZ bridge...they've got barriers and potholes all over. Glad you're out of that game.
On another topic, see you have a Corolla S -- looks like a nice little car -- what's your take on it as a Raider replacement:)?

1987-2000: '87 black Raider stock 4-cyl/5-speed.
2000-2006: '89 black Raider stock 6-cyl/auto
2007-?: 89 black Raider, 6-cyl/auto w/(at last!), bouncy seat, power windows and cruise.

Actually, it was a montero replacement and at the time couldnt have been more perfect driving between upstate NY and Greenwich/Stamford CT and Penn State area.

Up to 2008 model before the changeover, can get you ~38-40mpg solid highway mileage with the 5spd. It's a good car I just went through hell with the dealerships <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />. I miss alot about having a montero around which is why I picked up a truck really cheap to haul stuff.

That stretch was always bad.. we had a 26 foot freightliner that was always stuffed full of luxury furniture/appliances and granite countertops coming back form Connecticut and alot of stuff would get destroyed... 287 Sucks!!!
