I've been looking for new brake disks for my '81 4x4 and so far have not found any online. Does anyone know of a site that has them? Thanks in advance I know something will come up here. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

are you looking for stock, or are you updating to the vented rotors and wider calipers from an ifs truck. was thinking that mine came from trailtech? good luck, if you do the update make shure you shell out for the stainless steel flexable lines, and the short hard lines at the caliper. the flex lines make a huge improvement on the braking power, and the short hard lines are so cheap , and with new ones all you need to do is get the connection at the frame side of the old rubber flex line free (it's not so bad because of it's location)
NOTE TO ALL DOING BRAKE LINE WORK.... clamp a vise grip as hard as you can on the outside of your brake line wrench, this takes up the slack in the fit and greatly reduces the likleyhood of the brake line wrench slipping and killing the end of one of the long hard lines.... good luck to all. matt

Thanks for the info. I was not planning on upgrading to vented disks unless I could do it without changing calipers. The calipers on these old trucks are pretty impressive considering the year they're made. I got 180k out of the old disks, I think OEM replacements should make it okay. I will upgrade to stainless lines though when I do this. I already have them in the garage ready to go. Just need to find the disks????

Wow, this guy has an excellent deal that I'll probably do. I assume the IFS front calipers will bolt right up to the mounts I have since there is no mention of any adapters anywhere? This will work out. thanks..

may require the use of spacers so existing wheels will clear the replacement brake calipers.
