I had a fluke opportunity to get a few of my adapter plates anodized in different colors. This got me thinking, I wonder if I should do this regularly? Aluminum tends to oxidize with time and this would protect it. If somebody wanted the silver aluminum look I could get it clear anodized and it would still protect it. Do you guys think somebody would pay an additional $10 for this (it's not free) or would more people be interested in saving the $10 and getting bare aluminum? What's everybody's favorite color (of these)? BTW these plates allow you to run GM TBI throttle bodies in place of Carter BBD 2bbl carbs on 258s. For my own use I'd be happy to pay more for one that WASN'T colored! If I was making those I'd be careful to not annodize them until I got an order... Might be stuck with the colored ones for a lifetime. I doubt there is a huge demand for that exact swap anyway.. what? one or two swaps a month? Living where I do I'd want anything aluminum I was putting on the Jeep annodized. Clear would be my preference, but I don't know if I'd bother unless it were going to be exposed on the exterior of the Jeep. I'm just not about tricking it out under the hood though, so that's only personal preference. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
