I can guarantee it 'wasn't' removed. He's not talking about your old blue beast Rainman, he's talking about Bonnie his wife's beast.

OK, moved on to another beast, the gold 91 4-door. My wife didn't like the name 'Laura' and has called it 'Monty II' after our belated first Montero, a gold 86 2-door.
I bought this Montero with a dead battery and a rebuilt engine. If you fill the radiator, water streams out of the galley area under the intake manifold. I removed the hood and upper plenum this afternoon, narrowing the search for the leak. The hood was good, but the plenum was only secured by one bolt past hand tight...sheesh...no wonder the PO didn't want to go back to that shop. I was able to move the car, engine smoothed out after oil pressure came up. Looks like I finally have a running Montero for my wife, just have to fix a water leak, change the interior bits around, and replace the sucky tires with others here. I haven't decided yet, either to leave it on 31s or the 33s...

Jon,
I did receive and respond to your email. I'll check the sent log and see what's what.
Problem turns out to be the water pump, alas! I'm most of the disassembly way there now, just have to decide whether to use a pump I have now, about 10K miles or buy new. Hmm, I'll need a belt and manifold gaskets anyway...

I think I've got the manifold gaskets and water pump gaskets sitting in a box here if you need some. Maybe trade for a certain switch that I have of yours? I'll even pay shipping...
And, you go ahead and see what's what, there sir...I ain't seen jack...unless you sent it to hotmail...or yahoo...or...
