Im looking at a few land cruisers in the area for sale. Mostly in the early 90's. Any cautions to be aware of? Any poorly constructed years/engines??
I'm givin up my toy and goin VWesty. Got my Westy and another Toy:)

Stay away from 91/92. They have a weaker engine and trans.
95-97 are the most desirable since they have the better engine/trans and available locking front and rear diffs.

I have a 92 Landcruiser with 145k on it. I may have weaker engine-but have the 4.0 never had headgasket issues. All landcruisers nice -BUT GET POOR GAS MILAGE. I get a from 11-14mpg any kind of driving.
