i have a early 80's chevy pickup that has a dana 44(8 lug) in the front. i was looking at getting manual hubs and was wondering if any dana 44 manual hubs would fit or if there were different ones depending on the axle?

You can get Superwinch, Warn Premium, and other brands. The Chevy D44 should be EASY to get stuff for.

Likely. As with any other auto part, there are variation. But D44 is super easy to get no matter.
