Just curious as to the lifespan you're getting on your clutches. Obviously tire size and driving habits (among others) dictate a clutches lifespan but it'd be nice to have an idea on when to expect that it's going to need to be replaced.

I've got 178,000 klms on mine and it's still going strong.

My 88 had about 160k on it when it went out. The clutch material was OK, but one of the diaphram springs busted. Could have got a lot more out of it if it werent for the spring.

I had a 93 Accord once that I sold with 320k on the clock with the stock clutch smile

I've also seen a Scion with 15k on it that the clutch was ripped to shreds all in the bellhousing.

It all depends on how you drive it

I would expect a stock Toyota clutch to last 150-200k MILES if you treat it properly.

I had 186,000 miles/300,000 km on mine when the transmission input shaft bearing went. The dealer suggested replacing the clutch since they were in there and the disk was only half worn!

My '89 pickup made it 220,000 miles before a spring broke in the friction disc. Chunks of the spring were imbedded in the disc. The pilot bearing was also shot and looked like it had been dead for a while.

The friction material itself looked great. If not for the broken spring, it probably would have made it to 300k.
