Body Damage is Cool
I'm pretty much set on attending this event http://www.offroadexperience.com/nvtr09info.htm So I have navigator problem (got couple interested parties but not 100% commited yet, Anyone interested?)

They (organizers) seem to require or at least encourage team of two vehicles. Anyone interested in teaming up for it? This even seem to be usually dominated by LRs so maybe we should present Mitsu Montero team. It's short month away by now.

I've posted before for NVTR 2008, but no one from this board showed interest. You can do a search if you wish, as I have'nt figured out how to doa link smile
As it turned out, the 2008 NVTR was cancelled at the last minute.

If you decide to participate, you will have a lot of fun. Guaranteed!

I my self am will not be participating this year due to a schedule conflict.

Good luck.

I remember you post. I was planning to do 08 one as well.
Right now I'm limbo since I don't have navigator yet. Let alone second vehicle. Although I've spoken with orgs and they might be able to team me up with somebody. But I need to have 2 people in the car. I've got couple maybes so far only.

I don't think this even requires built rig. Well maybe fast rig aka Baja racer would be helpful although unnecessary but definitely not rock crawler type.

You are right, a rock crawler is not what you want for this event. Rather a well manitained and running, mostly stock rig, with a minimnal lift and mud terrain tires should do well. Lockers and winch help but are not necessary.

As I've stated earlier, I think this event is idealy suited to the Montero, particularly way most of us modify our rigs.

a mighty max with 31 inch mudders would probably be best. lightweight and can hold 2 tires and gas. Although, a Gen1 Monty with 3.5 heads would be a sh!t kicker.

I'd rather take Mitsu Pajero Evolution

I think my '94 would do the job well But i agree, I'd like an Evo for the event.
