I've got an 89 Raider that I love. For the last few months it will just stop dead. Still cranks but nothing happening under the hood. Have replaced the ignitor. I continually monitor the ECU now and it shows no problem when it stops then, after a few hours, will show code 22 & 23 (TDC sensor). No smell of gas after extensive cranking. After some time (five min but more like 1 hour) it will restart.
I know I've found something in the forum here about that but cannot seem to locate it.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Sounds a bit like my fuel pump before it died completely, although I never had any codes show, so quite possibly its an electrical issue. If you don't have it, go snag the PowerTrainDiagnostics manual here: manuals, etc. It has the no-start and driveability tests in it, and should help you diagnose this issue. If you want to read about what my fuel pump was doing, do a user search on my user name (89IsMine), sometime back around November 2006. My 89 did the same exact thing. It turned out to be 2 problems. I had a bad power unit and a bad photo optic sensing unit (in the distributor). The connector on the power unit has caused this problem as well.

When was the fuel filter last changed?
A TDC sensor code can mean the optical sensor in the distributor is bad, but I'm curious about the fuel filter.
