Getting the Wheeling Fever
I know this topic has been a pain for many T-100 owners out there, and at least for me, I've found the fix.

For those that haven't experienced it, some T-100's have a vibration that gets worse around 65 mph. People have tried different tires, wheel, shocks, just about everything. A few years ago, I read on this site about using a Haweka adapter when the tires are balanced. My local COSTCO was the only place that had one, so I bought tires from there. It seemed to help, but as I moved away, I was unable to keep getting my tires balanced at COSTCO. I just moved back and the truck was shimmying like mad. I wondered if it was the balance, so I brought it in to COSTCO and had them use the Haweka adapter. I was disapointed when I picked it up because the techs said the balance was just a little off. However, when I drove away...

25-35-45-55-65-85.....

No Shimmy!

Hope this helps some of those out there that are deailing with this pain.

I tried in vain at the last place I lived to find someone with that adapter. Apparently, to balance the wheels/tires on a T100, you need to use a lug-centric balancing device, not the standard hub-centric machine that everyone uses.

my solution: got new wheels, the old ones werent my style really either. Picked up some nice mikey thompson classics for 200 bones, sure helped my wheel vibe issues. Now my other vibes..well those are being worked on and if i ever cure them i can die happy.

Johnny what was your center bearing vibe like? I have all of a sudden picked up a vibration thats a loud hurummm that increases in intensity after 65mph. I fell it most prominetly under my seat so I was thinking center bearing but maybe a cv? anyeays I was just curious.

That sounds like a wheel bearing... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
