Hey all got a friend whose stuck... 92 4Runner 4x4 22RE 5 Speed Driveshaft went bottoms up, UJoint let go and well he says that the end is hosed.. and is in a need of another...
What others will fit? Will a 90's V6 (runner or pup) driveshaft fit? - not sure since his is a 22re. Will an 80's runner or pup d-shaft work?
Thanks for the info!! PS he believes the length (from joint to joint) is 46"

He'll have to find a 90-95 or 84-89 4Runner with the same 22re/5speed combo, or possibly a shortbed standard cab pickup from the same years.
I replaced the rear shaft on my 88 4Runner with one from a 95 4Runner with the same V6/5speed combo.
Good luck finding donors in Cincy. I had a very hard time tracking one down. Most yards have newer stuff. I think I found a few older toys at Lindale Auto Parts on 132 in New Richmond. Either that or it was Duck Creek on Kellog.
Hey, contact Rob (gotbrackets here on 4x4wire, or fabricator on pirate) he has a few parts toys at his house, he might have a shaft. His email is gotbrackets AT aol.com

I do know 5 spd and auto d-shafts are different; not by much, about 1" - but that can make a big difference. 4cyl vs 6cyl should be the same though.

I believe I may have one for ya. Its an 86 22r 5-speed standard cab 4wd. Car-part says it will work. I will measure it this afternoon and let you know. Your not too far from me either.
EDIT- Went ahead and went outside to check it. The one I got extends to 48" roughly (its raining) mounting flange to mounting flange before you start seeing the splines. It was around 44" before I pulled it to 46" then to 48". I can get exact measurements this afternoon if it can help you.

Does he need one? I'll take $50 for it. Joints seem to be ok.
