Help me please. I installed a rebuilt trans in my 01 Trooper. shifted fine, had to pull it out and install a flex plate, when I reinstalled it the trans has been shifting hard from 2nd to 3rd. The trans light is on as well on the dash. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Trans fluid is fine.

YOU NEED TO HAVE A SCAN RAN ON THAT TRANS TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE HARD SHIFTING, BUT FIRST YOU NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT CAUSED THE FYL WHEEL TO BREAK, THEY DONT BREAK FOR NO REASON, AND THE MOST COMMON REASON IS SOME ONE LEFT OUT EITHER ONE OR BOTH OF THE ALINE MEANT , DOWEL PINS , IF THEY ARE NOT IN THE BACK OF THE BLOCK TO LOCATE THE TRANS , THE FLYWHEEL WILL BREAK AGAIN, THEY ARE HOLLOW AND ABOUT 3/4 OD . Thank you, I did replace the dowels in the engine. A Chevy dearlership left them out after rebuilding the trans, of course they won't cover s_it. Anyway, I will get the OBD2 and see what is up. Thank You for the response.
