Body Damage is Cool

Hi guys , I haven't been on in quite a while now , so many things going on and big changes.I ended up selling my bike , and also buying a more reliable daily driver as I don't have time or a place to work on my truck anymore. So , you must have all seen my build posts over time and know how much work I did on this truck , so what I am doing now is to guage who , if anyone would be interested in buying it that would have the time and space to finish it as it should be finished.

I have no idea on price just yet , but I will do a full list of what is there on the truck and for spare parts. The only thing I am taking for sure is my stereo system out of the truck.I will miss my baby as it has more power than what I am getting , even though it has a 318 , and is pretty much unstoppable.A Canadian buyer would be best as it would be easier to pick up , and although for me it is/was a daily driver , a lot of places would not let it be street legal for emissions.Oh , the 5:38 gears are spoken for , so they wont be included in the list.

-4" suspension lift
-3" body lift
-1.5" seat lift
-3.4 engine with 1.6 roller rockers , 4.3 throttle body , bored out intake , K&N air filter , under drive pulleys , MSD coil , MSD ignition box , 8 MM wires (Dyno Tested to over 220 HP with 33" tires)
-33" mud tires , 85% wear left
-tera gears in transfer case (Automatic)
-aisin hubs
-locker in front
-Rancho 9000 shocks and control box( box not installed)
-rear LSD
-all bushings in the front were replaced , new brakes , rotors , etc
-custom fuel system
-alarm system
-braided stainless hose for fuel lines and russell fittings
-remote oil filter(2 filters)
-headers
2 1/4" exhaust with flowmaster 50 muffler
-trailer hitch
-limo tinted windows , all except 2 front and windshield
-step bars
-fender flares
-33" spare tire
-bush bumper with 9000 pound winch and cover
-darlington 1.5" differential drop
-darlington licence plate holder for winch
-heavy duty torsion bars
-3 fuel filters (1 removes water)
-brake speedbleeders (russell or maroso can't remember which)
-fuel pressure guage (1 inside the cab 1 under the hood)
-battery isolator under the hood
-battery in the back for electric fan
-electric fan and fan controller

Thats all I can think of off hand for whats been done to the truck and on the truck , if I think of anything else , will post it.Here is a list of what I have for spare parts

-universal joint
-original 2.8 engine
-spare auto tranny and extra belhousing
-kit to fill air conditioning
-fiberglass hood scoop (covers most of the hood)
-supercharger
-everything you need to add power windows and power locks
-spare MSD coil
-digital fuel guage that will fit in the normal area( have a large one for now , was going to replace the oil and temp guages in the cluster with matching ones but never got the other 2)

I will have to look and see what else I have laying around for extra parts that never got put where they were supposed to go.

If anyone thinks they would be interested , let me know , as right now the deal is in the works for the other truck I am getting , and I can sit down and think about price.

It pains me to do this after all the work I put into this truck , but I would rather see it go to someone who would use it and enjoy it then some local that would just abuse it and let it die.

Well Two things will help me and others decide if we want it: PICS and PRICE.
I'm down here in Seattle and would be interested. I have a Troop but it needs too much work and since I'm buying a house I don't have time for a full build, something that is mostly done would be much better.
What year is it anywho?
Let me know.

Its a 1990 , most of the stuff is done on it for build , the other stuff was going to be added like the power windows and locks and the supercharger. The body is not in the best of shape , but its a 4x and built to go anywhere:D Everything from frame up was done to it , all new bushings , ball joints , brakes , etc , etc. In total , I put about 8000 into it , not counting all the hours of labour. Some things on this truck you wont find anywhere else , like the custom fuel setup , the headers and the torquemaster starter so the headers would fit.For everything , I was thinking somewhere along the lines of 2700 , the tires and rims alone are over 1500. I would like to keep it , but I just dont have the time , place and money to keep up with vehicles , even after selling my motorbike I still have 3 left.

Just keep in mind that with the mods done , it will not pass emissions , especially the higher standards in the US.I have been using it as a daily driver though since I built it , so I have put about 8000 miles on it , and no major problems.

As for pictures , I will have to see what I can dig up , although the link to photobucket should work still , and that had all of my build up pics.Any other questions feel free to ask.

I forgot to add that there are lights on the front of the truck , and I have all 3 shop manuals for the truck also , which come in very handy. If there is a little more interest , then I will make a post and put it up in the 4 sale section , I mainly put this post here to see if there was any interest in a truck thats pretty much trail ready. The skid plates will have to be put on , I never got around to that as all the bolts had snapped off and I was going to drill them out and I had some high grade stainless to go in there. To finish it up right , you will have to put some work into it , but the windows and locks should be pretty easy to do , and no down time on the truck. The supercharger needs a part fabricated to bolt onto the intake , but if you have an extra intake , you can do that again with no downtime on the truck , you could even use the 2.8 to build it up , then just swap it over after.

The 2 things that I never got around to fixing that should be addressed eventually are the brake fluid goes down , not sure where its going , but once a month I have to add some as it gets a little low. Also , same thing , about once a month the tranny fluid gets a little low too , never found the leak , but if you dont add fluid once a month , it goes into limp mode right away. And the other thing is very common , the little bolts under the hubs come loose every so often , there was a little clunk just before I parked it to come out here to work , so I am thinking it came loose again. Its an easy thing to fix , its just the hour to jack it up , take off the hubs and tighten it down.

Thanks for all the info. The build up pics were cool. It looks like you really paid attention to detail. I think that it would be cool to see some pics of what the final product looks like. Maybe one of the engine bay and of the interior too.
$2,700 sounds like a reasonable price too.
Thanks

Very interested in the Supercharger! If it comes with the truck cool, my roommate needs a car he can just pay me back haha. But I cannot find another Isuzu supercharger for sale anywhere! Maybe because they stopped making the superchargers

Part of your problem is Isuzu never produced a supercharger. They had a turbo version of the Impulse in the late 80's and a turbo diesel in the Trooper around the same time, but that was it.

Barak's supercharger is an aftermarket roots (I think) style unit designed for the 2.8/3.1/3.4 GM platform, I believe.

That is why you've had a hard time finding an Isuzu supercharger. They don't exist.

I was referring to the supercharger Alpine made specifically for the 3.2 and 3.5L Isuzu V6's sorry for the confusion

http://www.alamomotorsports.com/alpine/alpine_isuzu.html

They (Alpine) stopped making it so it is becoming hard to find as you probably well know.

Indeed they are, but as Michael mentioned, this is not one of those units, so it's not likely to do you a great deal of good.
